Ocean

Starting off in the UK in the early 80s with inhouse development they released some well known titles like Hunchback and Gilligan's Gold. Eventually they became a pure publishing company and got a nice deal with Konami for licensing a number of their arcade game titles. Ocean is also know for getting a number of movie licenses like Rambo, Short Circuit and Miami Vice. They also had a deal with Taito and released among others Rainbow Islands and The New Zealand Story under their license. Some of their bigger hits were Head over Heels, Wizball, Worms, Cabal, Daley Thompsons Decathlon, Donkey Kong, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Gryzor, Midnight Resistance, The Newzealand Story, Parallax, Pang, Platoon, The Untouchables. Ocean also bought the Imagine label and continued to release a number of titles under that label (see link below). Many Ocean and Imagine titles were re-released under their budget label 'The Hit Squad', and a few of their games were licenced to 'Data East' for release in USA.
